Race 1: Racing Goes On 1400m Handicap

#11 Win Win Charity is making the necessary improvement. He slots in light, draws well and he can make a big push here against this group with Vincent Ho aboard. #3 Fingers Crossed has shown glimpses of ability. Zac Purton retains the ride which clearly shows that there is faith in this horse coming to hand soon. #1 Maximize Heart was a strong winner two runs back. He’ll get back and run on, so a fast tempo is desired. #9 Valhalla has shown consistency without winning. Expecting the same here.

Race 2: World-Class Leadership 1200m Handicap

#6 More Rice has done well in the lead-up to his debut. He’s strung several solid barrier trial efforts together and with even luck he should get his shot here, especially from gate two. He’s worth taking a chance on. #4 Dream Pursuer has had his fair share of issues but also has a reasonable amount of ability. He just needs to overcome the wide draw. #3 California Vanes also finds a difficult draw. #1 Cobhfield gets down to Class 4. This is a suitable drop in grade for him after proving competitive in Class 3 at times.

Race 3: The Guangdong-Hong Kong Cup Handicap

#7 Smart Fighter finished a competitive third on debut. He returns here for his second start and any improvement out of that effort should see him go on with this one. He’s the one they all have to beat. #1 Baby Crystal knows how to perform and win in this grade. Zac Purton’s booking bodes well for this contest, however, the wide draw does not. #13 Amigos Giggle returns from a lengthy stint on the sidelines. He’s looking well now and gets the services of Vincent Ho. #9 Happy Trio has claims. Next in line.

Race 4: The Hong Kong Reunification Cup Handicap

#13 Ching is racing very well and appears to have the scope for further improvement. He steps up in trip which is an unknown, however, his racing pattern suggests that it is well within his grasp. Take a chance on him, he has the class and much more. #3 Sword Point has the runs on the board and loves the trip. The draw is a big help and he’s the likely favourite to win. #6 All For St Paul’s can lead and give this lot something to run down. Don’t discount. #14 Natural Storm slots in light and should get his opportunity.

Race 5: Uncompromising Integrity 1000m Handicap

#4 Talents Supremo can mix his form but is capable over this course and distance. He’s the value here, especially after his fast-finishing effort for third last time out. Take a chance on him here. #6 Midas Touch has the ability and continues to take the right steps forward. Expect he crosses from the draw to potentially lead this group or sit handy. #10 Universal Pursuit is on the right path. He clearly has ability and will be winning soon enough. #1 Flying Dragon should have more wins this term. The return to Class 4 suits.

Race 6: Serving The Community 1600m Handicap

#7 Northern Beast appears ready to win. His first start over the mile was excellent last start and the inside draw here should afford him a smooth run in transit. Expect a big showing. #6 Right As Rain has capabilities over these distances. He’s got the experience and ability to make his presence felt. #14 Prosecco slots in light and gets a handy advantage at the bottom of the handicap. #2 Smiling Collector returns to Class 4 where he last returned a win only four starts ago. This is suitable.

Race 7: Continuous Development 1400m Handicap

#5 High Percentage has done well across two runs so far this season. He caught the eye with a fast-closing effort last start and any improvement from that should see him prove tough to beat. #4 Green N White has the ability but tends to mix his form. Expecting Zac Purton to ensure his best is on display this weekend. #9 Lucky Planet continues to develop. He’s building into a nice horse. The inside draw should afford him his chance. #7 Publicist is next in line. Pierre Ng is in red-hot form at the minute.

Race 8: Riding High Together 1000m Handicap

#2 Dream Winner is the clear top pick. He’s won his last two starts by nearly eight lengths combined and this contest is well within his grasp. He’s a seriously good horse now and for the future. #8 Atomic Energy is building a nice record and he can make his presence felt. He’s proving competitive in this grade and further development is expected. #10 Super Axiom has the speed to lead and he should do exactly that. He can give them something to reel in. #3 Beauty Tycoon is next in line.

Race 9: Sportsmanship 1200m Handicap

#11 Mugen is showing his class at the trials. Expecting he can make a huge impression first-up with Zac Purton engaged for the in-form Pierre Ng, who has saddled five winners from his last eight runners. #6 Invincible Sage has hit the ground running. He draws ideally and any further improvement should see him factor in a big, big way. #7 Golden Empire landed a well-deserved win last start. He’s returned to form and draws well for this contest. #2 Dancing Code has a bit of class. He can take another step forward.

Race 10: Better Future 1400m Handicap

#8 Happy Daily is in the right vein of form and this race is suitable. Peter Ho’s chasing a crucial two wins to meet the performance benchmark for trainers and Jerry Chau has a decent record aboard this guy. One to beat. #13 Flamingo Trillion is chasing a hat-trick of wins. He has the wide draw to overcome and any rain forecast brings him further into this. #7 Superb Boy has the scope to improve again. Vincent Ho’s engagement catches the eye. #2 Hoss is a three-time winner from the last five starts. Keep safe.
