All the focus has moved away from Game Winner since finishing second in his only two 2019 starts. I look for him to show up on race day ready to put in his best effort. His best race to date came over this racing surface in last year’s Breeder’s Cup Juvenile.  Another Baffert horse, Roadster, has ample tactical speed to lay close enough to be in the hunt down the stretch. With the scratch of Omaha Beach, I round out my selections with Vekoma and Maximum Security. Vekoma needed a race in the Fountain of Youth and showed his potential in the Blue Grass by winning it easily. We will find out today how good Maximum Security is. He hasn’t had any stumbles to this point but this will be his big test. My plays are #16 Game Winner Win/Place, Exacta box #16 and #17 Roadster, Exacta Key #16 over #6 Vekoma and #7 Maximum Security, Tri Key #16 over #6, #7 and #17.
